Obama Far Greater Threat to Liberty than McCain:  Webster Tarpley   AUDIO

GCN Radio’s Eric Shine’s interview of historian-author Webster Tarpley on Saturday, September 27.

Tarpley discusses why the presidency of Eric Obama poses a far greater threat to liberty than the presidency of John McCain.  Tarpley observes that there has been a populist ground swell against the proposed bailout of the banks, a measure under consideration in Congress that both McCain and Obama support now.  Currently public opinion polls show that the American people are strongly against the proposed bailout.

As a way of tipping the presidential election scale toward McCain, which now weighs in now in favor of Obama, Tarpley strongly suggests that the American people do whatever they are capable of doing to have the Arizona senator reverse his position on the bailout. His hope is that the electorate will be persuaded to hand a defeat to Obama at the polls and give the presidency to McCain, whom he believes will turn out to be a relatively weak president, one likely to constitute more of an annoyance to the American people than a true threat to their liberty.

Tarpley, an author two recent books on Barack Obama, is clearly not an Obama fan, but he regards the possibility of an Obama win as a clear and present threat to the survival our constitutional republic, for the reasons he goes into in his interview with Shine.  Click the link and download MP3 audio .

Democrats Seek Phony Wall Street Tax in their Bogus Bailout Plan

WASHINGTON, Sept 27 (Reuters) - Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives are pushing for a new Wall Street tax that would cover the potential costs of a $700 billion bailout being negotiated by Congress and the Bush administration.

U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, speaking to reporters after a meeting with fellow Democrats, said the fee could be assessed after five years if the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office determined taxpayers had lost money in the bailout.

"If after five years ... the CBO decides that the American taxpayer has lost money in this, then there would be a fee on financial institutions," Pelosi said, adding that she hoped the provision could be part of a final bailout deal.  MORE=>

LC Editor's Comment:  What a giant slap across the faces of the American people!  What contempt for the American people on the part of Ms Pelosi!  Outrageous!.  She knows that the creation of $700 B (Bob Chapman claims that this is the first installment of the bailout, which could go as high as $5 trillion) will produce a massive increase in the inflation rate quickly.  That is, it will cause the American people to start losing buying power almost immediately.  The increase in inflation, which will serve as an effective ongoing, never ending hidden tax on income, may me calculated now.  There is no point in waiting for a CBO study five years hence to discover that the American people have been royally screwed!

Wall Street Pirates Won’t Get Unconditional Bailout

By Bob Chapman

The International Forcaster

September 27-28, 2008

Planned profits for the elites, successive administrations set the stage for current market debacles, bailout plan set months in advance, threat of a depression from the bailout, Economy set to wither, Wall Street will not go unscathed, a stampede to safety is coming.

Slick Willie Clinton did more to tear down our military than any other President in recent history, and now we all know why, in spades.  When you are the President tasked by the Illuminati with setting them up to make mega-profits through their military-industrial complex and illicit drug trade, via planned wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran, and the initiation of a phony, so-called "War on Terror," the first thing you do is downsize the US military mightily so that all the fighting and support can be privatized, thus paving the way for mercenaries and contractors to do the same work as our soldiers at ten times the cost.  You suck the taxpayers dry by using their dime to set up a gargantuan opium trade in the world's premier poppy zone known as Afghanistan, complete with a new independent Kosovo as an illicit drug distribution center, run by Islamic militant thugs, while simultaneously setting up the big oil companies to divvy up some of the world's largest, high-quality, low-cost oil in Iraq (and probably also in Iran, which the ongoing debacles in Afghanistan and Iraq have prevented them from doing thus far). Then you throw in no-bid contracts with outrageous profits and allow theft on a grand scale by fully paying for non-performance of those contracts, and by skimming off hundreds of billions via outright theft, graft and embezzlement, all to be accomplished by your next Puppet President and his Puppet Administration, in this case, the corrupt Caligula and his Nero-like cohorts who were charged with burning Rome to the ground.  MORE=>

House Approves Tougher Sanctions on Iran

WASHINGTON - Asserting the need to force Iran's hand on its nuclear weapons program and its support of international terrorism, the House on Friday moved to reinforce sanctions against the Tehran government.  The House legislation, approved on a voice vote, would also authorize state and local governments to divest the assets of their pension funds and investments in companies that have invested more than $20 million in Iran's oil industry.  MORE=>

LC Editor's Comments:  Chill out folks. This is just a move to divert our attentions from news of the collapsing U.S. -- and ultimately world financial system.  The neocons, though still hanging around, are out of the power seat in D.C. and Zbigniew Brzezinski and his Illuminists are in.

Brzezinski's prize is the Silk Route group of nations in Central Asia and knocking out the influence of Russia upon the former Soviet republics and ultimately taking on China.

Zbigniew's man to do that job is President Barack Obama, who was advocating an American attack on Pakistan as far back as a year ago.  What would you expect Zbig's boy for the November show to do?  Go against his master?

But what about Iraq and Iran?  That war and the confrontation of Iran were the neocons' action not the Illuminists’. Iran-Iraq war issues are history.  Oil deals have been signed with Iraq and peaceful negotiations have been going on for a year over the apparent impasse with Iran.

Clear evidence exists that the Illuminists had taken the helm of the great ship USA.  It is Georgia’s poking the fiery stick up the nose of the bear a couple of months ago. However, Georgia’s aggressive attack backfired: Zbig had made a calculated bet that the Russians would not respond with overwhelming  firepower and boots-on-the-ground force, and lost.  Now the bear is now “out for bear”.

Two indication of the Russians’ change in attitude are Moscow’s cozying up to Caracas, which includes sending their warships to Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela through Caribbean waters, and shipping antiaircraft missiles to Iran.  Iran will use these missiles to defend their nuclear research facilities and also the nuclear reactors under construction there with the aid of Russian technicians and engineers from U.S. or Israeli bombing.

However, if either nation were so fooling to actually start bombing runs on Iran, this commentator sees it as all but certain that the Russian president would reach for the red button and we’d be into a nuclear war.

Both Washington and Tel Aviv know this and will lay off making bombing runs over Iran. So chill out.  Get on with the important things in life, like making sure to vote out all congressional incumbents except Ron Paul in November, getting out of debt and turning those soon-to-become-worthless Federal Reserve Notes into gold and silver coins, and stocking up on storable food, water and projectiles and their launchers.

As to the presidential race, know that a win for either Obama or McCain will still give us a president who will follow the Illuminists’ --- typically, Brezezinski’s, Soros’ and Rockefeller’s --- marching orders.  But I believe that Obama poses a far greater theat to liberty in than does Bush as president, chiefly for the reasons discussed in the Tarpley interview (previous article).

As to my choice for president, I’ll continue to make it the way I have always made that choice:  I’ll vote for whom I want to be president because he is most likely to make good on his oath of office, obey the constitution, and do what’s right for the American people.

McCain: Nuclear-Equipped Iran Threatens 'Second Holocaust'

OXFORD, Mississippi (AFP) - Republican John McCain clashed on Friday with his Democratic rival Barack Obama on how to deal with Tehran, as he warned a nuclear-armed Iran would unleash the threat of a "second Holocaust."   MORE=>

LC Editor’s Comment:  Same ol’ dumb stuff again.  More scare tactics.  More diversion from the real issues, which are in order of their significance:

(1)   The failing banking system, crooked U.S. government functionaries, crooked Federal Reserve strategists and Wall Street crooks, all of whom created the current blow-off and melt down and what significance all of this has in our own lives and what we are going to do about it personally to get through the difficult financial times ahead;

(2)   The need to vote out every member of Congress but Ron Paul this November for their utter failure to honor their oath of office, specifically their oath to preserve and protect the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic (especially crooked politicians, big business CEOs and bankers); and

(3) The evergrowing American police state, including how to shrink its size and keep out of its way.

Mad Dog Palin

Palin hasn't been too worried about federal taxes as governor of a state that ranks number one in the nation in federal spending per resident ($13,950), even as it sits just 18th in federal taxes paid per resident ($5,434). That means all us taxpaying non-Alaskans spend $8,500 a year on each and every resident of Palin's paradise of rugged self-sufficiency. Not that this sworn enemy of taxes doesn't collect from her own: Alaska currently collects the most taxes per resident of any state in the nation.

The rest of Palin's speech was the same dog-whistle crap Republicans have been running on for decades. Palin's crack about a mayor being "like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities" testified to the Republicans' apparent belief that they can win elections till the end of time running against the Sixties. (They're probably right.) The incessant grousing about the media was likewise par for the course, red meat for those tens of millions of patriotic flag-waving Americans whose first instinct when things get rough is to whine like bitches and blame other people -reporters, the French, those ungrateful blacks soaking up tax money eating big prison meals, whomever -for their failures.   MORE=>

LC Editor’s Comment:  Great article.  I laughed my tail off reading it!

Remembering 9/11 and Moving Towards a Re-United States of America

By U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich

September 11, 2008

We suffer in our remembrance of 9/11, because of the terrible loss of innocent lives on that grim day. We also suffer because 9/11 was seized as an opportunity to run a political agenda... It is not simply 9/11 that needs to be remembered. We also need to remember the politicization of 9/11 and the polarizing narrative which followed... As we were all victims of 9/11, so we have become victims of the interpretation of 9/11.

9/11 Op-Ed article by Dennis Kucinich:

America must move from the errant, retributive justice of 9/11 to a healing, restorative process of truth and reconciliation.

Before the Congress adjourns, I will bring forth a new proposal for the establishment of a National Commission on Truth and Reconciliation, which will have the power to compel testimony and gather official documents to reveal to the American people not only the underlying deception which has divided us, but in that process of truth seeking set our nation on a path of reconciliation.

We suffer in our remembrance of 9/11, because of the terrible loss of innocent lives on that grim day. We also suffer because 9/11 was seized as an opportunity to run a political agenda, which has set America on a course of the destruction of another nation and the destruction of our own Constitution. And we have become less secure as a result of the warped practice of pursing peace through the exercise of pre-emptive military strength.

It is not simply 9/11 that needs to be remembered. We also need to remember the politicization of 9/11 and the polarizing narrative which followed, locking us into endless conflict, a war on terror which has wrought further terror worldwide and which has severely damaged our standing worldwide as an honorable, compassionate nation. As we were all victims of 9/11, so we have become victims of the interpretation of 9/11.

Our government's external response to 9/11 was to attack a nation which did not attack us. Indeed on the first anniversary of 9/11, the Bush administration issued a well-publicized stern warning to Iraq which was part of a campaign to induce people to believe Iraq had something to do with 9/11.

The deliberate, systematic connection of Iraq with 9/11 has led America into a philosophical and moral cul-de-sac as over one million Iraqis and over 4155 US soldiers have died in a war which will cost over $3 trillion. Additionally, soldiers from 23 other countries have died in the Iraq war.

We attempt to unite Iraq by further dividing it. We talk about restoring Iraq while taking steps to place control of its vast oil wealth in the hands of US oil giants. And we intend to impose upon the Iraqi people the cost of rebuilding a country which our government ruined, keeping a once prosperous nation lashed to debt and poverty for a long, long time. Iraq has paid for 9/11. We all continue to pay for 9/11.

The heartbreaking loss of the lives and injuries to America troops further binds us to the Administration's illogic of the Iraq war: We remember our troops' sacrifice by demanding more sacrifice; we support our troops by continuing the war.

The dominant color of our new national security since 911 is neither red, white nor blue. Everyday is orange. Everyday reminders of fear of 9/11 become banal.. Yet we no longer hear the airport announcements nor see the orange colored warnings because they have commonplace standards in our new national security state, as is the Patriot Act, wiretapping, and a host of invasions of privacy and diminution of civil liberties. The Constitution has been roundly attacked by the very people who took an oath to defend it.

There is a powerful desire across America for change, not necessarily from control by one political party to another, but a change from living with lies to living with truth.

Over two dozen nations, facing peril within and without, deeply divided by politics and war have travelled down a path of restoring civil society through a formal process of reconciliation. At some point within each of those countries it was understood that the way forward is shown through the light of truth. This process is not without pain because it requires a willingness to study evidence to which eyes had been averted and ears had been closed. But in the process of truth and reconciliation, nations found new strength, new resolve, new commitment.

The South African Truth and Reconciliation enabled that nation to come to grips with its past through a public confessional, bringing forward those who committed crimes and having the power to grant amnesty for full disclosure of crimes against the people. Of course, our path may necessarily be different: High US government officials stand accused in Impeachment petitions of violating national and international law. Our continued existence as a democracy may depend upon how thoroughly we seek the truth. I will call upon the America people to join me in supporting this effort.

The truth can move us forward, as a unified whole, so that we can one day become a re-United States. 9/11 is the day the world changed. It is the day America embraced a metaphor of war. If we are open to truth and reconciliation, we may one day be able, once again, to embrace peace.

Kucinich: Seek Truth, Not 'Fake Political Unity'

By Nick Juliano

RawStory.com

September 10, 2008

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) says he won't cease his efforts to hold the president and his administration accountable for their alleged abuses of power just because George W. Bush will be returning to his Texas ranch come January.

Kucinich says he wants Congress to create a "Truth and Reconciliation Commission" to examine what really went on within the Bush White House in the aftermath of 9/11 and the lead up to the Iraq war. He says only an independent body with truth-seeking as its goal -- rather than "fake political unity" -- can repair divisions that have emerged in an increasingly polarized nation.

During a brief press conference on Capitol Hill Wednesday, and in an interview with RAW STORY afterward, Kucinich said he would introduce legislation to create a commission before Congress finishes its current session at the end of this month. He said his proposal would be modeled on Truth and Reconciliation Commissions that followed periods of upheaval in other countries, such as the end of Apartheid in South Africa or to consider genocide in Rwanda.

He said the Bush administration's transgressions rose to the level of other countries that have seen the need for Truth and Reconciliation Commissions.

"We've seen a dramatic erosion of our civil liberties and disruption of cherished constitutional provisions. Over a million innocent Iraqis have been killed. There's an attempt to grab the national resources of Iraq," he said, referring to attempts to exploit the country's oil reserves.

"So actually, this kind of a process would lend itself to a spirit which all Americans are looking for. ... 'How do we reunite our nation?'" he continued. "But you can't do it just through some fake political unity. The only way you can do it is to is to seek the truth, and we haven't really done that."

Kucinich said the commission he would propose should have the ability to subpoena testimony and documents and also retain the ability to recommend prosecution of any possible crimes it uncovers. Like Truth and Reconciliation Commissions of the past, though, it also should be able to grant blanket amnesty to anyone who agreed to provide a full accounting of their actions while in the White House. He said the work of previous bodies like the Iraq Study Group and 9/11 Commission also would be examined by his new commission.

Congress and congressional committees already have many of the powers Kucinich described, such as the ability to subpoena witnesses, compel testimony through the threat of prosecution and grant amnesty. The problem is it's been hesitant in exercising them. (Before Kucinich arrived at the press conference, activists lamented Congress's failure to hold Bush administration officials like Karl Rove and Harriet Miers in inherent contempt -- i.e. ordering the Capitol Police to lock them up until they agree to comply with subpoenas demanding their testimony.)

"Congress has had the opportunity to act, and it's failed to do so," Kucinich acknowledged to RAW STORY. "But Congress can still create a process where the work can be done, and that's what the Truth and Reconciliation Commission will do."

Palin, McCain to Spend More Time Together than Apart: Aide

AFP

September 10, 2008

In a break with tradition, Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin could spend more time together on the campaign trail than apart, a senior campaign aide said Wednesday.

"It is under serious consideration that they will spend more time together than not and more time than is traditional," the aide told reporters aboard Palin's campaign plane during a refueling stop in Montana en route to Alaska. "There's just a huge amount of enthusiasm."

LC Editor’s Comment: A news editor at AFP, a respected international news service, not Peter Hotshot, the night editor at Overnight Shock News, wrote that steamy tabloid-like headline.  That’s not the kind of headline --- with its “hanky-panky” implication --- an AFP editor would be likely to write under any circumstance.

What’s my point?  It’s that it is all too likely but, of course, not for certain that someone with significant, high-level influence upon the AFP editorial staff wanted to cheapen the political relationship of Mr. McCain and Ms. Palin by having this reputable and, therefore, believable news service throw in the sex angle into the mix by headlining this otherwise benign, ho-hum news story as it did.

An interesting question to ask might be who would do this but an even more interesting one would be “Why?” Readers who have been reading my recent LC Editor’s posts that I have put my money on Obama-Biden to win over McCain-Palin in November.

I have taken this position not because I favor Obama and Biden’s experience or political platform but because Zbigniew Brzezinski, the chief strategist for the elitists-Illuminists, not the neocons cabal, is apparently running the show in D.C., and Obama has been Zbig’s White House pick for a very long time.  And what the Illuminists want they generally get.

Zbig needs Barack in office as president to carry out his Grand Chessboard plan for Eurasia. Cheapening the McCain-Palin campaign by successfully injecting the suggestion that McCain and Palin are something more than political partners could easily sour million of voters on the McCain-Palin ticket if not drive them into the arms of Obama and Biden.

New Alternative Internet Broadcasting Kid on the Block

By Ron Larsen,

LibertyCalling.com

September 10, 2008

Lee Rogers, ex-talk show host of Republican Broadcasting, and others have started up Oracle Broadcasting, which has a talk show format and includes a chat room.  LC readers may connect to the web site by pointing their browsers to www.oraclebroadcasting.com.

Their unique selling proposition (USP) is they are young guys with new ideas, not the old fuddy-duddies that hang out as hosts on established alternative internet radio networks, presumably one like Republic Broadcasting, Genesis Radio and WTPRN.

The network has a clean audio sound and the host I listened to for twenty minutes this evening said that their cost of operations will not break the bank, so I suspect they are running Skype --- which is cheap broadband --- to provide access to the net for their hosts rather than tapping into a phone bridge.

The website has a clean and orderly look and uses a black background combined with lettering in a variety of fonts and color to provide a very eye-catching site.  As a businessman who is always strives to make upstart companies pay for business costs quickly, I was impressed by the fact that the home page was well covered with what appeared to be icons of business affiliates.  If one clicks on one of the many icons on the home page, goes to the target sites and buy products their, presumably Lee and his partners earn a little commission.  Neat!

How to sign into the chat room is not obvious but after enough clicking around I did get aboard.  I did introduce myself by typing into the space provided, mentioned that I am very “long in tooth” when it comes to radio broadcasting and wanted to know how I’d qualify to do a show aboard Oracle.

However, I failed to receive and acknowledgement from any of the 19 other folks logged into the chat room, so I suspect that I was not actually logged in.  Or maybe my mentioning in my login note the fact that I had my first radio show in New York City when I was sixteen years old and that was in 1950 was some sort of turn-off for the young’ns who prowled the chartroom. What was that old Gleeful Dead song?  Old and in the Way?  My dear dad, now long past, told me something like this happens to everyone some day.  Sob!

My first impression of the network is that it has energetic free-spirited hosts who are full of hope and ideas and are willing to put them out simply because management (which may be a way over-stilted term to apply to the starting team at this new-kid-on-the-block network) has given then free reign to their new hosts, thereby exhibiting an attitude that is refreshing in the broadcasting industry, where getting it right nearly always trumps being effective.

Give Lee and his broadcasting buddies at Oracle Broadcasting a look and a listen.  You may like them.

Russia Says to Send Nuclear Warship to Caribbean

LC Editor's Comment:  See my recent posts in www.libertycalling.com on the significance of the so-called Georgia-Russian war and how it relates to the shift of power that occurred in D.C. about year ago: Brzezinski, Soros, the CFR, the Rockefellers and the Illuminist crowd are "in" and the Neocons are "out."  See more in www.libertycalling.com.

Since Obama is Zbig's boy in his "The Grand Chessboard Plan" and Zbig needs him for this grand move, the Iran-Iraq theater of ops was moved off center stage in the big drama, which means McCain-Palin will become a passing memory.

Aside from the significance of the G-R war as just one battle in Zbig's plan, it also has given cause for the start-up of a new Cold War with Russia (previously USSR).  War and threats of war, cold or not, are the health of the state. Since the U.S. and business --- including big oil and big arms manufacturing -- are now solidly in bed with the Republican party, and even the Democrats, the onset of a new cold war means quadrillions of dollars for the business sector and to the politicians through graft.

By the way, the above headline on this story tells the story: A lucrative cold war has begun.  It's lucrative, of course, only for the "players", not the American people.  Read also (it is free for download on the web), "War is a Racket", by Maj. Gen. Smedley Darlington Butler.

Wall Street Soars on Fannie, Freddie Bailout

Stocks rose on Monday as investors bet Washington's bailout of mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac would stabilize the U.S. housing sector and calm jittery world financial markets. Investors poured into stocks worldwide, especially bank shares, after the U.S. Treasury on Sunday seized control of the two companies in what could become one of Washington's biggest bailouts ever.  MORE=>

LC Editor’s Comment:  This bailout will calm the jittery world financial market like a gulp of potassium cyanide powder dissolved in water will calm a nervous, despondent, suicidal person.  Once again the globalist-elitists that run the Federal Reserve create the problem (the lending bubble) and then impose a solution for that problem that will impose a killer financial burden on the American people: Rampant price inflation (also known as dollar deflation).  And after that comes what?  Devastating financial depression!

US Plans $7 Billion Missile-Defense Sale to United Arab Emirates (UAE)

The Bush administration is planning to sell the United Arab Emirates an advanced U.S. missile defense system valued at up to $7 billion that could be used to defend against Iran, people who have attended briefings on the matter said on Monday.  The Pentagon is set to notify the U.S. Congress of the proposed sale, which would be the first of the so-called Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, or THAAD, several people familiar with the matter said.   MORE=>

LC Editor’s Comment: Once again White House has chosen to cast Iran as the Bogeyman in the ongoing Middle East, real-life drama.  This time it is to justify selling the UAE a $7 billion defense system with which to defend itself from possible missile attacks launched at it from Iran.  The only problem with the Bush administration’s argument this time is that Iran and the UAE have maintained relatively good political and economic ties for a long time. Therefore, why would Iran seek to attack the UAE, its nearest neighbor?

Israeli Strategy After the Russo-Georgian War

By George Friedman

Stratford.com

September 8, 2008

The Russo-Georgian war continues to resonate, and it is time to expand our view of it. The primary players in Georgia, apart from the Georgians, were the Russians and Americans. On the margins were the Europeans, providing advice and admonitions but carrying little weight. Another player, carrying out a murkier role, was Israel. Israeli advisers were present in Georgia alongside American advisers, and Israeli businessmen were doing business there. The Israelis had a degree of influence but were minor players compared to the Americans.  MORE=>

LC Editor’s Comment:  Here are two key points presented by Mr. Friendman:  (1) Israel’s only threat on its border comes from Syria via surrogates in Lebanon and the possibility of Syria’s acquiring weaponry that would threaten Israel, such as chemical or nuclear weapons; and (2) Israel fears that if Russia gets involved in a struggle with the United States in Central Asia, Moscow will aid Middle Eastern regimes that are hostile to the United States as one of its levers, beginning with Syria and Iran. It was because Israeli leaders feared that the Russians might blame them for arming the Georgians in preparation for the recent Russian-Geogian war and then act in reprisal against their nation through Iran and Syria that Tel Aviv elected to cease shipping arms to Georgia before the war broke out.

Palin’s Speech to Nowhere

Will Bunch

Philadelphia Daily News

September 4, 2008

Sarah Palin delivered a great speech tonight -- for her party, for John McCain, for herself, for what she set out to accomplish. This was America's first real glimpse at the Alaska governor, and what we saw was a boffo politician who speaks in a plaintive prairie voice that channels America's Heartland like a chilling breeze rippling a field of wheat, who knows how to tell a joke, how to bring down the house and bring a tear to a few eyes. She is proud of her family, as she should be, and there is much to admire in her own "personal journey of discovery" (don't we all have these, by the way?) including her efforts to raise her son Trig. It is indeed nice to think that there would be an advocate for such children inside the corridors of the White House, although I'd surely like to hear what -- if anything -- she's done for special needs kids as governor of Alaska.

But...it was a great speech -- written for someone else, a male in fact, days before the Palin selection was even a gleam in John McCain's eye, but a great speech nonetheless.  MORE=>

LC Editor’s Comment:  Please read down and through the paragraph that talks about a statement Ms. Palin made during her speech, which was, "I told the Congress ‘Thanks but no thanks' on that Bridge to Nowhere.”

Of course, as Will Bunch points out, that was a lie!

It strikes me as a case of really bad form for the new GOP VP candidate to lie about a material fact related to her behavior as governor during her acceptance speech  at her party’s 2008 national convention.  But bold-faced lying has become a hallmark of many key Bush administration Republicans, hasn’t it?  Perhaps Ms. Palin intends to make it a hallmark of the McCain-Palin administration also if she and Mr. McCain win the White House contest in November.  I sincerely hope that it not her intention.

McCain Candidacy Sacrificed to Assure Brzezinski’s Chance at Chessboard Win?

By Ron Larsen

LibertyCalling.com

September 5, 2008

Several weeks ago historian, journalist and expert on Central Asia affairs Webster Tarpley and publisher the International Forecaster Robert Chapman pointed out in separate articles that Zbigniew Brzezinski, George Soros, the CFR and the cast of character loosely described as the Illuminists, elitists and globalists had replaced the Neocons as the power team in Washington a year or more ago.

This change in the guard implies that Zbigniew and his Grand Chessboard (See The Grand Chessboard) plan for the U.S. to push aside of Russia and China and takeover of Central Asia is now in play and that the Neocons' dream of occupying Iraq for a century-- if that was what was needed to "win the war" --- and the bombing of Iran had been taken off the board.

Also taken off the board has been a need for a White House win by John McCain, the Neocons' point man in calling for war war virtually without end in Iraq and even the bombing of Iran's nonexistent nuclear weapons labs.  Left on the board with stars sparkling all around him is Brzezinski's handpicked choice for the White House, Barack Obama, the man most likely to successfully pull off Zbigniew's ambitious plan for America's conquest of Eurasia.

But how has McCain, up to bat for the Republicans for many months, been set up to strike out in this world series political ball game so that Obama get on with the job at hand?

Strike 1:  Have McCain's advisors pressure him into not picking Senator Lieberman as his running mate and then dangling pretty thing Governor Palin before his eyes as a best choice of all the possible choices.  If a Lieberman choice would have been a turnoff for many Republican diehards, indications are now that Palin as McCain's pick has turned out to be a double turnoff to many of the Arizona Senator's supporters, including Republicans and potential switchover voters.  McCain's choice of Palin has also angered President Bush, who's family motto is "If you're not with us, you are against us."   Stee-rike one!

Strike 2:  Further angering President Bush has been McCain's choice to cancel the first night of the Republican Convention, which canceled out Mr. Bush's keynote speech scheduled for that day.  This put McCain's name on the very top Bush's "Very Bad" list, which is not great place to be for McCain if he really has his heart set on occupying the White House in January.  Stee-rike two!

Strike 3:  Have the mainstream press point out that in this latest book Bob Woodward had quoted Mr. McCain as expressing frustration with the Bush White House, clenching his fists in the West Wing and exclaiming to Woodward: “Everything is f---ing spin.”  What a grand slap across the face of El Presidente! Stee-rike three!   You’re out!!!

Three strikes, your out, Senator.  Sorry…Try again during your next lifetime!
